As an artist, sometimes you get asked to create a Santa staff for cult actor Barry Bostwick (Rocky Horror Picture Show) for a Christmas themed horror film featuring a murderous Krampus.  Yup. 

 

Honestly, I couldn’t say no as this was a request from my good friend "Spooky" Dan Walker for his 2018 feature film directorial debut of “Slay Belles.”  

 

The staff itself was created with a wood core, wrapped with plaster bandages, topped with various found items, painted in acrylic and finally coated in several layers of resin for strength.

 

Actor Barry Bostwick was actually rather impressed by the craftsmanship on this piece, which apparently held up quite well during the rigorous filming schedule.
